How to get thereYou may fly to Prague or Linz. Detailed guide for Prague public transport is bellow. Only trains are listed there. Busses are faster and more comfortable, but it is in most cases necessary to have a reservation, which is more complicated. More connections from Prague to Ceske Budejovice are available on http://www.idos.cz (Czech site, but with switch to English or German)
Prague Public Transit. From Prague airport (Letiště Praha-Ruzyně) to Prague Main Station (Praha Hlavní Nádraží): take line No.100 to final stop Zličín (Metro line B terminus), change at Florenc to line C, get off at the station Hlavní Nádraží or take line No.119 to final stop Dejvická (Metro line A terminus), change at Muzeum to line C, get off at the station Hlavní Nádraží Tickets available from vending machines, buy a 75-minutes (on Sundays prolonged to 90 minutes) ticket for 2 zones, CZK 26 , for luggage over 25 x 45 x 70 separate 13 CZK ticket. Timetable for trains from Prague for Sunday 12th July is HERE [only fast trains are listed], timetable for trains from Linz (Austria) is HERE. There is no special charge for fast trains. Reservation is possible, but not necessary. Let us know the time of your arrival, please. One person from organizing committee will be awaiting you at the railway station. |
