Research

CYANOBACTERIA

Currently this is our main topic, we focus mainly on the phylogenetic relationships of individual groups of cyanobacteria with study of their morphology, cell ultrastructure and sequences of several genes, and also on whole genome analyzes. We are gradually working on taxonomic revisions of selected genera and higher units and contributing to the updating and refinement of the cyanobacterial system.


We also manage an extensive taxonomic database of cyanobacteria CyanoDB.
